Caney Creek High School Cheerleaders Honored with Championship Rings

The Woodlands, TX - On a pleasant Saturday evening at Woodforest Bank Stadium, Caney Creek High School cheerleaders, the 2024 UIL State of Texas Coed Cheer Champions and the first state champion cheer squad in the district, were presented with their UIL State Championship rings as Beyoncé's "Put a Ring on It" played in the stadium. Each cheerleader also received a commemorative state championship t-shirt.

The ceremony began with Head Coach Janel Jackson introducing each cheerleader, followed by Principal Dr. Terri Benson congratulating the team for their outstanding achievement. A number of the Caney Creek cheerleaders and yell leaders have been awarded scholarships to cheer at the next level in college, marking a significant achievement in their cheerleading careers. The coaches worked hard to ensure that the senior cheerleaders received their rings before heading off to college.

Head Coach Janel Jackson extended her gratitude to the booster club, presenting them with replicas of the championship rings as a token of appreciation. Special acknowledgment was given to Herff Jones representative Kenny Holick for his support and generous sponsorship of the ring ceremony.

Members of the community, along with friends and family, came out to support the Caney Creek High School cheerleaders. The event concluded with a team photo on the 50-yard line, showcasing their championship medals, trophies, and rings, followed by additional photos with friends and family.

The event marked a memorable moment for the Caney Creek HS cheerleaders, celebrating their hard work and success.
