“These Heroes…have demonstrated extraordinary leadership and dedication to our community.” – Missy Herndon, President & CEO of Interfaith
Founded in 1999, the Hometown Heroes award celebrates individuals and organizations nominated by residents for their positive contributions to The Woodlands. Since its inception, 170 community members have been recognized for their dedication and service. Missy Herndon, President and CEO of Interfaith, praised this year’s honorees for their remarkable dedication. “These Heroes, nominated by our neighbors, have demonstrated extraordinary leadership and dedication to our community. We are thrilled to celebrate them at the Gala in February,” Herndon said.
Honoree Cathy Brady reflected on the legacy of The Woodlands, emphasizing its community-focused vision. “George Mitchell’s beautiful plan for The Woodlands continues to make this a welcoming community to live and work,” Brady shared. “Since 1994, the residents have been and continue to be in control.
