Two local coaches receive recognition at TGCA conference

Arlington, TX - This week, Coach Janel Jackson from Caney Creek High School and Coach Morgan Rogers from Grand Oaks High School were honored at the 2024 Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) conference in Arlington, Texas, for their UIL State Championships achievements. Both coaches were presented with TGCA State Championship rings by Herff Jones.
“Both Coach Jackson and Coach Rogers have demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill in their respective sports, earning well-deserved recognition,” stated a TGCA spokesperson.
Coach Janel Jackson, leading the Caney Creek High School Co-Ed Cheerleading team, was acknowledged for her career milestone of 400 points. Coach Morgan Rogers, guiding the Grand Oaks High School Volleyball team, received the prestigious 5A-6A Volleyball Coach of the Year award.
The TGCA conference serves as an annual event to celebrate and recognize the accomplishments of Texas girls' athletics coaches.
