Free Girls Golf Clinic Welcomes Teenage Girls to Discover and Enjoy Golf!

Chevron Sponsored Weekly Golf Clinic at The Woodlands Country Club

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS - The Woodlands community is invited to participate in an exciting, free weekly golf clinic designed especially for teenage girls. The "Drive On Girls Golf" clinic, led by renowned golf instructor Susie Redman-Kirk and her husband top PGA Tour and Olympic coach Kevin Kirk, offers young participants an inviting, encouraging atmosphere to learn, improve, and fall in love with golf.

Held every Saturday at The Woodlands Country Club - Palmer course, the clinic continues weekly until the prestigious 2025 Chevron Championship, set for April 24-27 at The Club at Carlton Woods. This major LPGA tournament offers a fantastic local connection, inspiring participants by highlighting women's achievements in professional golf.

Susie, who specializes in youth golf development, emphasizes positive reinforcement in her coaching.

“I like to emphasize what they have accomplished, not what they didn’t,” said Kirk, adding, “If they have an enjoyable experience, they will want to come back again and again.”

Golf attire such as skirts, shorts, or leggings is required for participation. Gym attire and jeans are not permitted. Golf clubs will be provided for participants who do not have their own.

Susie Redman-Kirk is a recognized expert in youth golf development, having been honored with the 2023 PGA Youth Player Development Award. She is a member of both the PGA of America and the LPGA. A former multisport high school athlete excelling in golf, track and field, and diving, she achieved national recognition as a junior golfer. Redman competed professionally on the LPGA Tour for 20 years and was named LPGA Female Player of the Year in 1984. She has been a PGA Class A Member for 23 years.

Kevin Kirk, an Olympic and PGA Tour coach, will also participate, lending his expertise to help participants build a solid foundation in golf.

All skill levels are welcome, and golf clubs will be provided for those who need them. Participants are asked to wear appropriate golf attire such as skirts, shorts, or leggings; gym attire and jeans are not permitted.

Families interested in joining or learning more about this fantastic community resource can reach out directly to Susie via email at Sredman6@aol.com.

The clinic aims to introduce more teenage girls to golf and will culminate in connection with the LPGA’s Major Chevron Championship, drawing further attention to women’s golf.
