Grand Oaks High School Choir Sensations Rusetsa and Ellie Triumph, Headed to Prestigious All-State Choir in San Antonio!

In an extraordinary display of talent and dedication, Grand Oaks High School Choir members Rusetsa and Ellie have soared through all four rigorous rounds of auditions and are now San Antonio-bound for the prestigious All-State Choir. This remarkable achievement has placed them among the elite 1,810 students selected from over 70,000 Texas high school aspirants.

Rusetsa, making her third appearance, continues to make history for both our school's choir program and Grand Oaks High School. Her consistent excellence sets a high bar for aspiring musicians. On the other hand, Ellie's debut at this esteemed event marks the beginning of what promises to be an equally illustrious journey in the realm of choral music.

Their journey to the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Clinic/Convention, where they will rehearse and perform with one of 18 Texas All-State ensembles, is a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and exceptional talent. The event, taking place from February 7-10, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas, is a highly anticipated gathering of the state's finest young musicians.

The Grand Oaks community is brimming with pride and excitement for Rusetsa and Ellie. Their accomplishments not only bring honor to themselves and their families but also shine a spotlight on the outstanding music education program at Grand Oaks High School. As they prepare for their performances in the Mixed Choir and Treble Choir, we eagerly anticipate their success and the unforgettable experiences they will bring back to our community.
