John Cooper School Black History Month Reception

Student Speakers and Interactive Exhibits Honor African American Contributions



On Tuesday evening, February 13, 2024, The John Cooper School hosted an enriching Black History Month reception dedicated to honoring African American heritage, one of the many cultural heritages that make up America.


Students took the stage at the Rock Math + Science Center to present the historical contributions of African Americans, highlighting the profound impact on the nation. The evening was a celebration of the rich cultural heritage and significant contributions of African Americans, offering a space for learning, reflection, and unity.


The John Cooper School's Black History Month reception was a meaningful event that not only educated but also brought the community closer in appreciation of the diverse history and accomplishments of Americans. It was an evening of reflection, learning, and unity, honoring the past while looking forward to a future of continued inclusivity and understanding.
