Top student to attend Rice University for Computer Science

Krishan Gupta honored as Class of 2024 Valedictorian at The Woodlands High School Commencement on May 18, 2024.
Krishan Gupta, who entered Conroe ISD as a junior, was named the valedictorian of The Woodlands High School Class of 2024 during the commencement ceremony held at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Gupta, a National Merit Scholar, Advanced Placement Scholar with distinction, and Academic Letter recipient, has been recognized for his numerous academic achievements.

He has actively participated in various organizations, including the National Honor Society, Math and Science UIL Team, DECA, Science Bowl Team, Key Club, and Science National Honor Society. As a member of the Math and Science UIL Team, Gupta earned a state medal in Number Sense.
Gupta will be attending Rice University to study Computer Science. He is ranked #1 in a class of 1,110 seniors with a grade point average of 5.625. Dr. Curtis Null, Superintendent of Conroe ISD, presented Gupta with his valedictorian award.
The ceremony highlighted Gupta’s dedication and academic excellence, setting a high standard for future graduates of The Woodlands High School.
