Acclaimed ice cream shop opens first Texas location
THE WOODLANDS, TX — The Woodlands is celebrating the arrival of OddFellows Ice Cream Co., which has chosen our community as the site of its first Texas location. The acclaimed New York-based ice cream shop officially opened its doors on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 1900 Lake Woodlands Drive, Suite 350, in the same shopping center as Flower Child restaurant. Known for its bold and creative flavors, OddFellows brings a taste of Brooklyn to The Woodlands Mall with offerings like Miso Cherry, Honey Rosemary, and Mango Coconut Sticky Rice (vegan).

Franchise owners Bryce Gipson and Valerie Golson saw The Woodlands as the perfect place to introduce OddFellows to Texas. The shop celebrated its grand opening with $3 single scoops, drawing crowds eager to experience its unique, whimsical approach to ice cream. “OddFellows was born in Brooklyn, NY, and we are extremely excited to bring our wildly inventive concept to The Woodlands, one of the best cities to live in the U.S.,” said Mohan Kumar, co-owner of OddFellows.
The parlor features 24 rotating flavors, including non-dairy and vegan options, as well as milkshakes, sundaes, and banana splits. With its retro-themed atmosphere, OddFellows has quickly become a must-visit spot for ice cream enthusiasts in the area.
