2024 Softball Season Highlights
Oak Ridge and Conroe High Schools concluded the softball season as co-champions of District 13-6A, each with a 14-2 record, while Oak Ridge takes the number one seed into the playoffs.
Both Oak Ridge and Conroe finished the season with impressive 14-2 records, earning them the title of co-champions. Oak Ridge, however, edged out Conroe for the top playoff seed due to winning their head-to-head matchups. College Park and The Woodlands also ended with identical records and split their games against each other; however, College Park secured the third seed over The Woodlands thanks to a superior run differential.
Ending with identical 14-2 records, Oak Ridge and Conroe emerge as co-champions of District 13-6A, setting the stage for an exciting playoff.
In a close race, Willis, Grand Oaks, and New Caney displayed commendable performances but unfortunately missed the playoffs by just one game.
With the district titles decided, the teams prepare for a postseason filled with high stakes and intense competition.
The upcoming playoff schedule is set with critical games:
College Park will face MacArthur at Humble HS at 7 pm,
Conroe will compete against Davis at Grand Oaks HS at 5 pm, and
Oak Ridge will meet Nimitz at Humble HS at 5 pm.
The Woodlands has a three-game series against Spring HS, starting Thursday at 6:30 pm at TWHS, continuing Friday at 6:30 pm at Spring HS, and a final game on Saturday at 10:00 am at TWHS, if necessary.
